XS Technologies Inc. (XST) formerly known as EnviroTrac Technologies Ltd., is a high-tech research and development, sales and marketing company. Who is also the proprietary designer of MobileTrac – one of the most advanced GPS-based tracking systems in the world.
The company was formed in 1995 and 18 months after start-up launched its first tracking system using UHF/VHF radio frequencies as the conduit to link the tracking unit with the control center. Since then, XST has consistently released new and upgraded products and systems including AMPS, GSM and data cellular systems, a recently released Store and Forward commercial transport monitoring system, and two new satellites configurations which use the MSAT and SATCOM-C constellations. XST is currently selling its fourth generation of product.
Within the tracking industry there are several types of systems:
- radio or beacon ground triangulation systems M
- cellular triangulation systems
- GPS systems with terrestrial communications
- satellite (LEO) systems
The above systems are ranked in order of capability and cost, i.e. triangulation systems cost the least and have less intelligence. We chose to design GPS-based systems because they offer four key advantages: a high level of accuracy, greater speed in locating stolen cars, the ability to control vehicular functions such as vehicle kill, and finally because the units are more versatile in function.
The legal action against Veritas is still active. Trading in TSX has ceased.
